Erma Kickertz, 94, of Glenwood, died on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at Glenwood Retirement Village.

Funeral providers will probably be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Glenwood Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Manning officiating. Visitation will probably be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 5-7 pm on the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Dwelling in Glenwood and can proceed one hour previous to the service on the church. Erma Juliette Johnson, the youngest of Martin and Emma (Brendmoe) Johnson’s six youngsters, was born in Osakis on Jan. 30, 1928. She grew up on a farm close to Osakis and attended Osakis public faculty. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church. As a younger girl she attended faculty in Minneapolis the place she skilled to be a licensed sensible nurse. Afterward she labored varied nursing jobs within the metro space.

On Oct. 21, 1950, Erma was united in marriage to Orlin Norbert Overstad of Glenwood at Salem Lutheran Church in Osakis. Erma was preceded in dying by her mother and father, Martin and Emma Johnson; two husbands, Orlin Overstad and Fred Kickertz; one is Scott Overstad; one granddaughter, Shanna Erickson Zins; one great-grandson, Boe Zins; two-stepsons, Fred E. Kickertz and Jim Kickertz; her sister, Mae Hassell; and 4 brothers, Paul, LeRoy, Marlo and Orville.
