About Keiser University
Keiser University is a private university in Florida that offers classes online and on-campus throughout the state. The university was established in 1977 and was formerly known as Keiser School 1977. Keiser School started as a college for career students. Arthur Keiser and Evelyn Keiser, his mother and sister, collaborated to create an institution that provided special programs designed to prepare students to work in the fast-growing sectors of the Sunshine State. It was renamed the Keiser Institute for Technology in 1982 after adding new computer science and technology courses. It was known as Keiser College from 1986 to 2006. It was changed to Keiser University after gaining regional accreditation and creating more rigorous degree programs.
Although Keiser was a for-profit university for several years, it was transformed into an independent university in 2010 when Everglades College Inc. acquired the Keiser system. Community College Week ranks Keiser at a national scale in various areas, including the most effective healthcare programs, leading information technology and computer programs, and the top nursing programs. Each of those programs is at the associate’s degree level. The school has a main campus in West Palm Beach, also home to the College of Golf. Other campuses in major cities include Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Port St. Lucie, Daytona Beach and Jacksonville.
Keiser University Accreditation Details
The online courses offered by Keiser University are accredited regionally through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) also approves the programs since they provide student career training. Another accreditation granted by Keiser is from the Accrediting Bureau for Health Education Schools (ABHES), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in addition to other professional associations.
Keiser University Application Requirements
Before applying to a degree program, Keiser advises students to learn more about the degree program and speak with an admissions adviser. They’ll need to prove they have completed either the GED or high school course. Students can choose between reaching an admissions counsellor by phone or via email. However, students living in Florida may also go to a campus nearby and speak with the advisor in person. Open houses are held every semester to allow students to talk to instructors and counsellors. Students can visit campus during these occasions too.
In the meeting with an advisor, the student can learn about the academic requirements of an educational program and the possibility of gaining from an online course. The Keiser application requires students to set up a new account and log in when ready to apply. It can take around 30 minutes to complete the application. However, students can also utilize their funds to submit applications for financial aid and verify that they have met the requirements to receive support. Students can log in to access the university’s catalogue and register for classes before the semester begins.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Keiser provides a calculator for net costs to help students estimate the cost of their academic year. The calculator asks the students to answer several questions regarding the subjects they would like to study, where they’ll be taking classes, and where they reside. The calculator also requests general questions that it then uses to calculate the financial aid available to the student. The institution’s tuition cost is approximately $120,208 for a year. This is the cost of tuition at the university, but not the books or other materials they may need.
Keiser University students can fill out Keiser University’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and receive financial aid. Prospective students may also speak about the Office of Financial Services if they have concerns about the form or the criteria for receiving financial assistance. There are two grants available to students: the Federal Pell Grant and the Florida Student Assistance Grant are two of the grants available for students in the first year of their studies. They may also be eligible directly for loans that the federal government provides. The loan lets students take out a maximum loan of $3,500 during their first years and $4,500 during their second years, and $5,500 during the final year of their studies. Students who enrol in one of the associate’s degree programs offered by Keiser University can qualify for some scholarships, too.

Retirement program
When a postal worker retires, he or she is eligible for a number of benefits offered by the Postal Service. Benefits include retirement pay, disability coverage, and optional health insurance. There are three major types of benefits available: Federal Employment Retirement System (FERS), the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), and the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). The benefits of each plan are based on the employee’s age, years of service, and salary.
CSRS provides benefits to an employee based on his or her highest salary in three consecutive years of service. In addition, CSRS/CSRS Offset employees are eligible for an additional service credit. FERS, the Federal Employees Retirement System, pays less than CSRS.
The benefits offered by both systems are dependent on the employment history of the postal worker. Career employees receive competitive salaries, regular salary increases, and overtime pay. They may also receive a night shift differential.
The Postal Service offers generous annual leave. For employees with at least fifteen years of service, they receive 26 days of leave. Those with less than fifteen years of service receive twenty days of leave. All employees are eligible for a minimum of four hours of paid sick time.
USPS employees are enrolled in FERS, the Federal Employees Retirement System, which is similar to a 401(k) plan offered by private companies. Letter carriers have the right to receive individual retirement counseling on the clock.
A letter carrier is also eligible for the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, which offers excellent coverage at a reasonable cost. This program is available to most non-bargaining unit workers.
The Postal Service Health Benefits Program will replace the FEHB Program starting in 2025. This program provides health insurance to post office retirees and new postal employees.

Before you apply, you need to make sure that the lender you choose is a good fit for your financial needs. You might also want to have a private agreement in place so that you can smooth out any mismatches.
